When did you do this one? What was the inspiration?

This one is an eerie reminder to me of 9/11. It is as if I-the viewer is lying on the ground looking up at the Twin Towers as the first plane strikes and people rush from the building. Powerful image and a interesting fragmentation of perspectives. I like.

Thanks Kate and Geoff for your comments.

This one was made about six months ago. There was definitely some overall anxiety swirling around in my head. The airplane was meant to represent a form of escape.

Geoff, I find it really interesting that you read 9/11 in this drawing. It seems that airplanes have a new identity in certain contexts, and probably will for years to come. I like how you read the enclosure surrounding the people as a skewed perspective of the towers...

I really like hearing interpretations of artwork. It is nice to hear the various meanings that a viewer can bring to a work of art.
